Borussia Dortmund have been fined €75.000 by DFB for misconduct of their fans at the Berliner Olympiastadion at the Cup Final in May. Further mischief could lead to a partial exclusion of fans on the Yellow Wall.
Borussia Dortmund supporters lit flares before the beginning of the second half of the DFB Cup in May 2016, causing a delay of the kick-off. Similar incidents already happened in the cup final in 2015.
The club has accepted e the DFB and will pay a fine of €75.000. Further mischief, such as the use of pyrotechnics or the incident of tennis balls being thrown on the pitch by BVB fans in Stuttgart could lead to a partial exclusion of fans on the Südtribüne.
If that was to be the case, 15.000 of the 25.000 standing places would remain empty on the Yellow Wall, while banners would also be forbidden. The probation of this sentence runs until 31 May 2017.
