The pairing of the 2015 DFB Cup final stands. Borussia Dortmund will take on VfL Wolfsburg in Berlin on the 30th of May.
Poor old Arminia Bielefeld were without a chance against VfL Wolfsburg on Wednesday’s semi-final. The Bundesliga side did not allow the 3rd tier side no shimmer of hope, as they opened scoring after 8 minutes. Bielefeld saw no way back into the game, as the by Volkswagen funded club didn’t show weakness. 4-0 the end result, which is extremely bitter for Bielefeld, who had hoped for another magic Cup night – especially for the lads who camped out 14 hours to get a ticket.
Wolfsburg vs. Dortmund is also a fixture on the 33 match day, which will make this encounter an interesting game of poker. Yet, these are two different matches. Either way, it will be an epic battle in Berlin. VfL Wolfsburg has immense qualities and it will need a stellar performance for Dortmund to get away with silverware, since Wolfsburg will most likely on their best. But if it was to be an easy win, victory would not taste as sweet.
