Hannover 96 have been hit hard by injuries in recent weeks. Their two best strikers will not travel with the squad that will face Borussia Dortmund on Saturday afternoon.
The current list of Hannover players convalesing on the sidelines containts some important figures head coach Thomas Schaaf is missing badly: Christian Schulz (gastroenteritis), Oliver Sorg (twisted knee), Leon Andreasen (sprained ankle), Felix Klaus (twisted knee), Charlison Benschop (knee surgery and pubic bone problems), Hugo Almeida (back problems), Ádám Szalai (torn hamstring), and Marius Wolf (rehab training after torn hamstring).
Playmaker Hiroshi Kiyotake, who was out for months due to a stress fracture in his foot, is questionable. It is expected that Artur Sobiech and Kenan Karaman will replace Almeida and Szalai up-front for Saturday’s afternoon game. Instead of Schulz, the Brazilian defender Felipe could play at the back.
