Mats Hummels and Marco Reus are still a worry for Klopp ahead of the big clash of Borussia’s on Saturday. Sven Bender is also nursing a knock, but all three are likely to get fit in time for Gladbach.
Sadly Nuri Sahin is still sidelined with an inflammation. The central midfielder had a great part in Dortmund’s successful run, that ended with the glorious derby win against Schalke 04. Nobody quite knows when Sahin will be back, but the sooner the better. Lukasz Piszczek is also on the verge of returning, which makes Sahin and Oliver Kirch the only absentees for now.
Borussia Mönchengladbach will have without two important figureheads in Favre’s system. Christoph Kramer, who scored the winner for BVB via a spectacular own goal, picked up his fith yellow card and will be suspended. Martin Stranzl also hasn’t recovered from an injury. The center back was vital in Gladbach’s successful matches against Dortmund, as he cleared attack after attack. It will be interesting how Roel Brouwers will cope with Dortmund’s attack in Stranzl’s wake.
