As in every summer since 2012, Borussia Dortmund have travelled to Bad Ragaz for a pre-season training camp. During the training camp, BVB will play two games, taking on Premier League club Sunderland on Friday and La Liga side Athletic Club on Tuesday.
Thomas Tuchel has almost the entire squad at his disposal. Marco Reus stayed in Dortmund, continuing his rehabilitation training.
Sven Bender and Mathias Ginter are also absent, currently with the German team for this year’s Olympic Games in Rio. Moritz Leitner was excused from team training to strike a deal with another club. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, became a father on Wednesday for the second time and thus stayed in Dortmund for now but will later join the team in Bad Ragaz (congratulations Auba!)

The squad is completed by u19 midfielder Dzenis Burnic. Felix Passlack and Christian Pulisic also travelled to Bad Ragaz, of course. The other U19 player who spent most of pre-season with the first team, Jacob Bruun-Larsen, is traveling to the Olympics in order to represent Denmark.
The game on Friday might be the first chance for Dortmund fans to see their newly acquired Euro 2016 winner Raphael Guerreiro in action, as well as comeback kid Mario Götze and record signing André Schürrle.
